Fill in the Pronunciation field

Use Bulk Copy to copy the Citation Form or Lexeme Form field content into the Pronunciation field. Then, use Process to convert each letter (or digraph) in the orthography into its corresponding IPA character. If necessary, you can use Bulk Replace to fix exceptions to the general rule.

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Lexicon, and then click Bulk Edit Entries.

  2. Use the Configure Columns dialog box to hide/show/move columns (fields) and select writing systems, if permitted. Show the Citation Form or Lexeme Form fields, and the Pronunciation field.

  3. Filter or sort the data to display only applicable entries.

  4. Use the Bulk Copy tab to copy the citation or lexeme form into the Pronunciation field:

  6. Use the Bulk Edit tab to fix any exceptions to the general rule.
