FieldWorks Language Explorer uses several types of fields:
Single-line text fields (and variations)
Custom fields. Any of the field types above and these:
Number fields store only whole numbers.
Other unique field types you might use include:
Fields with a check box that you can select () or clear (
).
Affix Process Rule fields hold tables in Allomorphs in lexical entries.
Media File fields in pronunciations.
Here are some of the things you can do with fields:
find a description of each field with the menu button .
For "header" fields, or other fields that do not store any content, the field Help topics state Field type: Not Editable, or similar. The Cross References field is an example.
change the width of the field label area
create hyperlinks (in some text fields)
