These Find features are different than the
Find a lexical entry and
Find a reversal entry features.
Here you can use a simple Find dialog box to find search text (that is, the character string, word, or phrase that you want to find). You can paste in the box or type with the current (active) keyboard. There are no search options.
Important: This Find feature can only search the displayed set of entries. See: Navigating in Dictionary or Navigating in Reversal Indexes. This feature is the same (and gives the same results) as a Find feature you would use in an Internet browser, such as Firefox.
In the Navigation Pane, click Lexicon, and then click Dictionary or Reversal Indexes.
Do one of the following:
On the toolbar, click .
Press the shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+F.
On the Edit menu, click Find.
The Find in This Page dialog box appears.
Do the following in the dialog box:
Type or paste the search text in the Find What box.
Select () Match case if you want the search to be case-sensitive. Otherwise, clear (
) it.
Select () Wrap if you want the search to continue in the selected direction after the search has reached the end of the current page. Otherwise, clear (
) it.
Select () a Direction to search (Up or Down).
Click Find Next until you find the desired occurrence.
Click Cancel (Windows®) or Close (Linux), or click X to close the dialog box.
Here you use the Find tab to find search text (that is, the character string, word, or phrase that you want to find). Here you can use search options.
In the Navigation Pane, click Lexicon, and then click Classified Dictionary.
Do one of the following:
On the toolbar, click .
Press the shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+F.
On the Edit menu, click Find.
The Find and Replace dialog box appears.
Do the following in the Find tab:
In the Find what box, enter the search text.
If necessary, click More to display the Search Options pane, and then specify any search options for the Find what text.
Click Find Next until you find the desired occurrence.
Click Close.
