To modify a style, click the style in the Styles list, click the Paragraph tab, and then do any of the following:
Direction — click the down arrow and then click Left-to-right or Right-to-left.
This sets the direction of data in views like Dictionary and Reversal Indexes. Unspecified means the direction is inherited.
Alignment — click the down arrow and then click the horizontal position of text lines between the left and right margins.
Alignment sets the position of paragraphs relative to any indentation formatting. To align paragraphs relative to the left and right margins in a document, clear any indentation formatting.
Leading means left if the direction is left-to-right, and right if the direction is right-to-left.
Trailing means right if the direction is left-to-right, and left if the direction is right-to-left.
Background — click the down arrow and then click a color for the paragraph background.

For At Least or Exactly, use the At box to set the spacing.
One explicit line spacing value applies to all writing systems. In this case, consider the font size on the Font tab, the types of diacritics in the text, and the graphic design of exported documents.
The inherited values of unspecified attributes appear in gray.
The Preview box displays the look of the formatting attributes.
