Choose Inflection Class

Inflection classes are used by the parsers. Consider the following as you choose inflection classes:

In Compound Rules, (Grammar)

In Lexicon Edit, do the following:

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Lexicon, and then click Lexicon Edit.

  2. In the Entries pane, click the desired entry.

  3. In the Entry pane, if you cannot see the appropriate Inflection Class or Inflection Classes field, or From/To Inflection Class field pair, show hidden fields.

  4. Click the appropriate field, and then click the ellipsis button that appears.

    The Choose Inflection Class or Choose Inflection Classes dialog box appears.

  5. Do any of the following:

In Grammar Compound Rules, do the following:

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Grammar, and then click Compound Rules.

  2. In the Compound Rules pane, click the non-headed compound rule for which you will choose an inflection class.

  3. In the right pane, if you cannot see the Inflection Class field, show hidden fields.

    Hidden fields appear.

  4. Click the Inflection Class field, and then click the ellipsis button that appears.

    The Choose Inflection Class dialog box appears.

  5. Do one of the following:
