Inflection classes are used by the parsers. Consider the following as you choose inflection classes:

In Compound Rules, (Grammar) |
In the Navigation Pane, click Lexicon, and then click Lexicon Edit.
In the Entries pane, click the desired entry.
In the Entry pane, if you cannot see the appropriate Inflection Class or Inflection Classes field, or From/To Inflection Class field pair, show hidden fields.
Click the appropriate field, and then click the ellipsis button that appears.
The Choose Inflection Class or Choose Inflection Classes dialog box appears.
Do any of the following:
Select () Display usage figures to see how many times each Inflection Class or subclass is used in the project.
Click the "Edit the Inflection Classes for <name>" link to insert or edit an inflection class or subclass.
Select () one or more inflection classes (as permitted by the field). Click OK.
Repeat the steps above if the entry requires more than one inflection class, such as for From/To pairs.
In the Navigation Pane, click Grammar, and then click Compound Rules.
In the Compound Rules pane, click the non-headed compound rule for which you will choose an inflection class.
In the right pane, if you cannot see the Inflection Class field, show hidden fields.
Hidden fields appear.
Click the Inflection Class field, and then click the ellipsis button that appears.
The Choose Inflection Class dialog box appears.
Do one of the following:
Click the "Edit the Inflection Classes for <name>" link so you can insert an inflection class.
Click the inflection class you want to display. Click OK.
